No - you need a hub based ( Connect to your WiFi ) remote. This one is IR only and can't accepts commands from Alexa
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not found any way to get the Harmony 650 (or the 700) to work with echo dot. I don't think it is possible because the remote has no way of receiving data from echo. The Harmony Hub has some limited ability to work with echo, but I tried it and didn't find it to be very useful. I think the 650 and 700 remotes are excellent, easier to set up and control then the Harmony Hub, and a steal when on sale. The 700 is the same as the 650 but has the ability to recharge rechargeable batters when plugged into a usb power source. However, you can just use regular batteries as well, turning it into a Harmony 650. The Harmony 700 has been discontinued so is often on sale. Best Buy deal of the day had it as low as $45 a week ago.
