Willie, please list the brand of your STB (set top box) so that all these cable guys out there can give you an answer. As an example: Scientific Atlanta, Motorola etc...

Please try again later.It may, you can go to the logitech website and check there; there is a large number of options and it will also accept codes directly from the remote of the cable box. The download works better with Windows 7, I tried Windows 10 but it was a real pain in the butt

Please try again later.Short answer it should, long answer: to double check go to logitech website and there you can select your provider and specific model of the cable box that you have to make sure that it can control it. As far as I know it can control most anything that was produced after 2012 and a lot of things from before. And programming process is simple you just connect th remote to your computer or laptop with the provided cable and select the correct device from the list, software does everything else for you.
