Maybe. Find the model number of the JVC stereo, and then check on this website: https://support.myharmony.com/en-us/compatibility
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Probably. You could tell for sure by going to the Harmony website and setting yourself up an account (it's free) and enter your equipment information as if you already owned the particular remote you are thinking about buying. https://www.logitech.com/en-us/harmony-universal-remotes

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have an old Sony system, and it works with that one.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is going to vary by the model. Check out your specific JVC stereo model here to see if the Harmony 665 is compatible https://support.myharmony.com/en-us/compatibility
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It'll actually work with _any_ IR device. If the device you want to control is supported, then you select it from a menu and the software will know what all of the codes are for controlling the device. But if it's not listed in the menu and you still have the original remote, you can put the 665 into "Learn mode". Basically, you press a button on the 665 that you want to program, then you place the old remote directly below the 665 and press the corresponding button. There's an IR _receiver_ on the bottom of the 665 (and many other models) that will read the code from your old remote and program the button on the 665 to send the same thing! This is SUPER convenient as I have some weird, one-off devices whose remotes are NOT included in Logitech's list simply because they weren't a high volume device. This is even useful when the Logitech definition for the device doesn't include _all_ of the buttons. (I originally couldn't find a ThumbsUp and ThumbsDown button for my TiVo using the definition provided by Logitech, so I used the above technique to program the buttons myself. They now include those buttons, so it's not necessary for the owner to do it.)
