• Yes it should work. I personally have a roku but I also have a smart tv and i have selected Netflix and amazon video on it and wasn’t having any trouble.

• Short answer "yes". I cant claim to have used it with all apps available. But, works great with Netflix, Amazon, etc. Also, might, but shouldn't, not work with a different brand of TV.
