Yes it should work. I personally have a roku but I also have a smart tv and i have selected Netflix and amazon video on it and wasn’t having any trouble.

Short answer "yes". I cant claim to have used it with all apps available. But, works great with Netflix, Amazon, etc. Also, might, but shouldn't, not work with a different brand of TV.

You can program this remote to your smart tv and your apps such as Amazon, Hulu, Netflix and anything else that is programed to your tv will allow this remote to start playing it.
