Yes. It works great for our Direct TV receiver, Pioneer TV and sound receiver.

This remote is set up by connecting to a computer and specifying the specific equipment by model number that you want to control with it. It takes 15 minutes or so to set it up, but when your done it ready to be used and in works flawlessly for me. None of that old-style remote programming by entering a bunch of 4 digit codes and then hoping it worked
