Yes, using the MyHarmony app you can turn on a wide selection of devices and in a specified sequence. For example, I programmed by Watch TV button to turn on the TV, my sound system, my satellite DVR, and set them each to different states. Almost all sound systems, TV, and DVRs models are available in the MyHarmony App. Be sure to jot down all the model numbers of the devices you wish to use on the remote. Even if your device is not in the MyHarmony list of devices you can program the remote to learn your device's as long as it uses the same type of remote signal the remote uses.

Once the devices are set up in the remote's memory, you can set up an activity to turn on your amp, turn on your DTV, and also turn on your TV when you press the power button. It is all done in the set up.
