• Yes. Anything you can do with Directv remote, you can do with the harmony. I have wired system, not the wireless they are currently pushing out. But I can record, play back, delete from dvr using the harmony.

• I am using my remote with DirecTv and it works great. it has all the same buttons and they work just like the native DirecTv remote.
