“My components are in a cabinet. My Sony receiver requires the remote to be aimed at it and does not work if the cabinet door is closed. Will this remote allow me to control it and my Xfinity cable box with the cabinet door closed?”

• No this is an IR remote and has to be pointed at the IR receiver on the equipment, for about $30 on Amazon you can buy an infrared repeater then it will work with the doors closed do a search for IR repeater.

• Yes it should, I have an older LG sound bar that needs direct line of sight and it works well.
