A:AnswerI don't know if DirectTV works but I have Comcast and I think that the setups are similar. The remote should be set to the programs separately like TV and TV2.
A:AnswerI could only assume that it would because it works with no issues on my Fios tv box. Try and search in the homepage and see if their is a list of supported devices. Input your device information here: https://support.myharmony.com/en-us/compatibility to check compatibility.
A:AnswerI don't have a Sony Sound bar. You would probably have to check with their compatibility list. We have multiple items in our system and all were compatible. Works very good for an inexpensive remote. Mine is programmed through my PC and USB. We have bought 2 of them so we don't have to share a remove. Both will run the same systems. A:AnswerYes
You will have to find your cable box model number and manufacturer after just enter online after you hook up the USB cord(included with the remote package) after that its easy.
A:AnswerLogin to your account (have to go to main page via laptop or PC). You can then go into your settings to choose your favorite channels and assign buttons to them. Fairly intuitive.
A:AnswerNot this remote, it's more for home entertainment but am sure the much more expensive ones probably will. I had one before that allowed me to control my window AC units. Do some research and am sure you will find it.
