• Hello, you can upgrade remotes without have to replace the Hub. You can add devices via the Harmony app.

• Yes, you can add a new remote to the hub w/o having to replace the hub. Then, you can either use both remotes, or just use the new one. I added a Harmony 950 to be the primary remote for my wife who was having issues remembering button assignments on the companion remote. Now, I use the companion remote and my wife can easily change activities and channels using the touch screen on the 950.
