how do you set it up null

You have to set up a my harmony account on a PC. In the remote control box there is a cable. You hook the cable to the PC and the remote and through their website you pick the equipment (TV, DVD, soundbar, etc) that you own. You also pick the activities that you want (Watch TV, play DVD, listen to music, etc). It then loads all the stuff that you picked onto the remote through the cable.

We needed the Geek Squad to do it. Way beyond these senior citizens' ability. They did a great job and we love it.
