“I wanted to throw our old Harmony remote through the window - when you turned it on, you had to wait a minute before any buttons worked, and half the time there was a long delay between pushing buttons and the devices responding. Does this do that too??”

I experienced the same problems with my old Harmony. There is still a short wait while all the devices are turned on where you can’t use the buttons but it is only about 15 seconds. The response time of devices on button pushes are much quicker. Overall a good improvement over the older devices.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. The only delay is when you start the activity and it’s powering through things. Once the activity is completed it works like any other remote.
