- Answer Yes, during initial setup you will need to set up the hub to connect to your WiFi network. The remote will use RF to communicate with the hub, but the Harmony apps will connect to the Hub!

- Answer It works for the most part but it very buggy, Logitech is a great company but they fall short on the latest products and maybe in future they will keep improving it. I think this Elite remote does not deserve to be bought. I have 2 LG TVs and it was frustrating to say the least. It was frustrating to use it with any thing. You have to use your phone and your computer at times and there are many firmware updates and too many moving parts for a simple remote. Your LG remote will do the basics. Your cable remote will do most of those as well. You have to ask yourself if you really want to go thru this. Save 300-or 350/- You can read my complete review on this product. I returned it.

Questioni have a harmony 900. can i download all my current settings to the elite? I do not want to do all the setup again and have on a computer

- Answer Yes, when you are first setting up the remote, the software asks you if you want to copy the settings from another remote. As long as you know the login info for your 900, you will be good to go.

QuestionOther RoomsWill this remote control components located behind a wall? The TV is mounted on the family room wall but all components, including BluRay, direcTV box etc are on the other side of the wall under the stairs.

- Answer Yes. All my components are in the basement under my family room and all commands are taken by the hub via RF, not IR. The hub then emits IR via little IR blasters that are wired to the hub. You WILL need to be able to route one of the blasters to your TV so it can emit IR to control it.

- Answer Check their website. You can input all of your devices in their database and you will get a complete list of what will work. It will tell you if it uses Bluetooth or IR & if the remote has any known hiccups such as: what functions will only work with the original remote.

- Answer Yes. I purchased this mainly because of the Alexa integration, and it's perfect for that. I just say, "Alexa, turn on [Activity Name]" and it powers on all associated devices and sets them to the correct inputs. You will need to Enable the Harmony skill in the Alexa app.

- Answer Yes it works fantastic. I have a activity setup, I just hit the touchscreen and it turns on Roku and switches TV input. You have 100% of functions. This remote can control anything. If its not in the Harmony Database (which would be very rare) you can manually program from any remote.

- Answer Having just answered your question, I just found this on the Harmony website: https://support.myharmony.com/en-us/how-to-add-a-multi-zone-device I haven't tried this, but this is how it says to control Zone 2

QuestionDoes it shorten the battery life to put the remote on the charger unit before the indicator turns red? Will it cause the battery to not hold a charge as long if it is placed on the charger before the indicator turns red?

- Answer No. You're thinking of older-style batteries that had "memory" issues. Newer ones like the ones in this remote don't and therefore I always put mine back in the charger after use. This is my third Logitech Harmony remote in 20 years and with each one the batteries have kept their performance for the useful life of the remote. I used the first one for 12 years and never experienced any battery issues.

- Answer This remote uses RF, Bluetooth, and IR. My components are kept in a closet. They respond to the hub and IR blasters. My TV is controlled by the IR that emanates from the front of the remote control. I had the same concern initially. It's a pain to set up. But, once you get it done, the remote does work.

QuestionI wanted to throw our old Harmony remote through the window - when you turned it on, you had to wait a minute before any buttons worked, and half the time there was a long delay between pushing buttons and the devices responding. Does this do that too??

- Answer I experienced the same problems with my old Harmony. There is still a short wait while all the devices are turned on where you can’t use the buttons but it is only about 15 seconds. The response time of devices on button pushes are much quicker. Overall a good improvement over the older devices.

- Answer Hello MerrikillaB! Unfortunately, it is not possible to control multiple DIRECTV Receivers in the same room with your Harmony Elite Remote, as they all receive the same IR signal. So it's not possible to have a dedicated IR controller for just one of them, it will always work for all of them.

- Answer The great thing about the harmony software is its flexibility. It should have the codes for your tivo but if it doesn’t then it does give you the option to teach the commands from the old remote to the harmony. I’ve had to do it, it’s generally simple to do.

QuestionI currently have the Elite in my basement. I want to have another Logitech remote upstairs in the main living room. Can I buy the 955 remote and link it to the hub in the basement or should I buy the 655 for it to be completely independent of the Elite?

- Answer The Harmony hub can have one touch screen remote and one non touch screen remote linked to it. You would have to purchase the 665.

- Answer Hello Choquito. The IR blasters are 2.5mm plugs. The Elite comes with 2 that plug directly into the Hub.
