A:Answer You can indeed put the hub in the closed cabinet next to your devices; the hub needs line of sight to those components but the remote does not need line of sight to the hub.
To control your TV, you'll need line of sight between either the IR blaster or the remote itself (nothing needs to physically connect to the TV). In my case, I have an IR blaster, which connects to the back of the hub, coming out from our AV components cabinet and pointing up at the TV's IR receiver. If that's not workable for you, you can also have the remote send the IR signals to the TV itself.
So unless your TV's IR sensor is blocked by a frame you added or something, you won't have any trouble controlling it.
