• Yes, during initial setup you will need to set up the hub to connect to your WiFi network. The remote will use RF to communicate with the hub, but the Harmony apps will connect to the Hub!

• It will control standard devices via infra red like TVs DVD etc. wifi is needed if you want to use your phone or pad as remote as well. Otherwise no wifi is not needed.

• I don't believe wifi is required, but some form of internet access is required. You can connect with the Harmony Hub via the cloud using cellular data or your home internet connection, including wifi.

• YES, the remote communicates with the HUB via WiFi then the HUB transmits the appropriate command via either IR or Bluetooth for each device. As in IR for the DVD and Bluetooth for a PS3 and PS4.

• It is not essential but it is helpful, more flexible if you have the wifi. You can connect directly with cables for programing and such instead of wifi

• The hub will need it. But your devices will work by the hub or remote sending IR signals to them

• No. It will control through radio frequency as well. Wi-fi is a second method for controlling components.

• If being used for mobile devices it does not require WiFi, but if being used for other devices it does require WiFi.
