Not sure about Direct, but, it works great on my Dish, thanks to Geek Squad programming.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Harmony Elite universal remote control will absolutely control any and all DIRECTV HD or HD DVR Genie’s or Genie Mini set top boxes. In fact their are very few AV components this remote control cannot be programmed to operate. The MyHarmony IR database includes hundreds of thousands of IR codes for almost every AV component manufacturers in the last 20+ years. And even if Harmony/Logitech doesn’t have the IR code you are looking for for a given component, this remote allows you to learn the IR command from the original remote control. Good luck & Enjoy!

For the receivers that use RF for the remote controller, there are settings to switch to IR. The Harmony controller works only over IR or IP. IP control is fast and reliable but the receiver has to be connected to your local area network. IR is easier to do most of the time if the receiver is in an open cabinet or if you use the included IR transmitter connected to the hub.

If you have that information, then you can use Logitech's Compatability Check to clarify. Here's the link: https://support.myharmony.com/en-in/compatibility. - Richard from Logitech
