I'm assuming that your current remote is non-functional and your asking if the hub will work with a new remote. The hub can be programmed to work with any harmony remote that the hub supports. The answer is Yes, you should be able to purchase any harmony remote that your hub supports.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can buy just the remote by buying the Harmony 95, which is the remote without the hub, and it will work fine with the hub from the Ultimate or One
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The remote harmony950 is Infrared remote control so will not work as full version like control your device outside home vs harmony elite that control items through infrared and wifi. I think both device work different. Is very important to know the remote control of harmony elite emite signal to the hub and not directly to the items and hub send infrared signal to the items(tv, DVD player, thermostat...) I tested it. Thanks
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends on what you are trying to do. The hub is a must. Nothing works without it. If you are trying to add the same remote, it won't work. It will replace the original one. If you are trying to add a secondary remote, you can add what they call smart add-on. Here is a table of what you can and cannot add https://support.myharmony.com/en-us/harmony-add-on
