My home theater components except cable box and Tv are in an enclosed cabinet. The elite remotes works very well in controlling everything. The hub bounces signals off the walls and back side of the door.and seems to cover all of the inside of the cabinet. The only way you will know for sure is to try it.

The hub itself also has IR emitters and you can use the remote control for any exposed equipment. In my situation, I also have some gear in a separate rack in addition to my media cabinet. I used an IR repeater over Cat5 cable to send commands to the rack.
