• The Hub is required. This remote is wireless (not infrared) and transmits to the hub, which then generates the necessary IR flashes to control your components.

• A hub is required for this remote to work. The remote has no IR capabilities and only communicates to the hub and the hub sends the IR signals out to your components. I currently have it controlling an Epson projector, Onkyo receiver, LG blu-ray player, CenturyLink box, Amazon Fire TV, and a Nintendo Wii.

• The hub is required for be use with this remote, if you already have one you can pair the remote to the your existing hub.
