• Hello, Yes, the system will continue to record and perform all the regular functions (except for remote viewi). The Ethernet cable is only required for remote viewing on a computer or smartphone. Thanks, Lorex

• It has a 500Gig hard drive...so theoretically it should still work until the hard drive is full.

• If you unplugged to the Ethernet you will lose signal. it needs to be connected all the time.

• DVR doesn't require network connectivity (LAN). It will work stand alone with a monitor as long as you have the receiver's antenna connections connected. Networking gives you additional access options though.
