Not likely, for $1500, you can get a Valve Index & a good graphics card to run it. Unless you really need the AR capabilities, I don't really see a compelling reason. For most people's cases, just get the Quest 2. You'll be much happier having the extra cash, though I suppose we'll wait and see how good it will actually be.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Better visuals, sound, and augmented reality capability. Also much better controllers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unless you are looking for a headset for professional use-cases, I would recommend the Quest 2, it is the consumer-friendly version made for VR gaming and social applications.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. For most people it's not worth it. The Pro has better lenses, color quality, full color pass through for mixed reality stuff, the controllers have much better tracking and a cool stylus feature... but is it worth $1,500? If you're really into VR/MR and can afford it I'd get the pro, but you can still do the same stuff on the quest 2 (just lower quality experience).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. How to upgrade from oculus 2 to 3 or pro
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Color is better, hazy rays are gone, much more comfortable, controllers are waaaay better with built in cams and rumble. much more pleasant color pass through video, overall a much more premium feel.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you intend too use it for productivity instead of gaming.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That's very dependent on your requirements. This is targeted for business use and not for the home enthusiast. If you're into playing games and dabbling in VR then the Quest 2 will be a better, more cost effective purchase. If you're into VR development or your business uses the productivity features then the Quest Pro would be the way to go. Alternatively, wait a year for the Quest 3 which should be in the region of $500. It will have the much hyped "Color Passthrough" like the pro model does.
