The problem may not be the Camera Hookup, the camera can connect to the power supplied to your Backup Lights with a good ground OR you can connect power to the stereo end using the red wire that comes out of the RCA connector. I would test the system by connecting the camera power to a good 12v source ( constant power) just to make sure the stereo is recognizing the car is in reverse. You reverse connection to the Stereo has to be correct for this to function. I know my system had 3 different types of reverse inputs and I had to play with the options to find the correct one. ( 2011 Camaro with JVC Apple CarPlay System, using PAC interface.) Another piece of information, when you get t going, the camera itself has guide markers that show on the screen. These can be disabled by cutting the white loop wire on the camera end of the cable. The Stereo will have guide lines also and you can end up with two sets of guide lines. - I hope this helps.
