Is your monitor for a DVD player? Or is it part of the stereo? Check the manual for your device to see if it has a video feed option for a backup camera. This unit has a standard RCA connector for the video feed from the camera. My car has a stereo with a 6" touch screen that has an option for a backup camera. the camera plugged into it no problem. I connected the power to the same power source for the radio. Didn't need the ground because the video cable has a ground in it. After trying to power the camera many different ways, I ended up largely ignoring the red power and black ground wires. I used the red power wire at the video plug end only. Watched a few youtube videos to help with the installation. Camera works great.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It connected to my stereo. I am not sure if you could connect it to another monitor. As long as there is a auxiliary video imput jack I don't see why it wouldn't.
