With that line out you still need to run a remote to your head unit (if it has one) or to a fuse that only turns on and off when the car does. The audio control will detect the signal but not the less expensive line out.

I believe this LOC doesn't drive a high enough voltage across the RCA output terminals (~the max noticed differential voltage on the LOC output). More importantly if the LOC isn't grounded to the same source that your Amp is grounded, then your LOC voltage levels are floating arbitually. I expect that with an unconnected LOC ground, that the LOC is driving a 300mV to 1V differential voltage swing. However, it's ground voltage (not tied to amp) is above the 6V threshold that your amp is detecting the turn on remote signal. Therefore, as far as your amp is concerned, it sees a +6V signal all the time and keeps it on. Hope this helped.
