A:AnswerWhat you have to do is order a new controller online and have it shipped to the store. Then when you go to pick it up the new controller, ask for a refund for the new controller. Then exchange your old geek squad warrantied controller for the new controller you just returned. this way you dont go without your controller for a week.
A:AnswerYou can always order online, what is not available in the store. I mean you can order it at the store, and then have it shipped to you. VERY fast shipping. Took me about 3-4 business days.
A:AnswerThanks for your question and patience! Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 has proven to be very popular. While stock continues to be available at stores on a regular basis, we recommend checking back frequently for information on availability.
A:Answerdon't look... it's up to $60 now and it used to be $35 at launch, which is already on the steeper end for replacement plans through best buy. the fact that it's so expensive now should tell you one thing. They're horribly defective to the point that they're being exchanged left and right. As someone who has exchanged them over a dozen times with nothing but straight out of the box issues, I think I will finally eat the fact that I've wasted over $200 between my replacement plan and the controller. its pointless to keep exchanging when they are all broken straight from the factory.
A:AnswerYes. The Best Buy replacement plan basically gives you a gift card for original purchase price. So you’ll get $150 credit towards series 2 and get it for $30. And then you can buy another replacement plan on that one (which I highly recommend). I also recommend saving the date you get the new one and bring it back every two years for another one. But to be honest, I’m sure it will break or at least start acting up before then.
A:AnswerIt covers everything (except stolen) you need to turn in the old one. They don’t test or anything, depending on the employee you probably won’t have to say anything other than “it’s broken”
A:AnswerIt’s been unavailable for months now. This is ridiculous! Best Buy will start loosing my business. Their inventory and customer service is starting to go down the drain unfortunately.
A:AnswerThanks for your patience! Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 has proven to be extremely popular. While we don't have an exact date when it will be back in stock, we recommend checking back regularly to see when it's available again.
A:AnswerThanks for your interest in the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2! The Elite 2 was back in stock recently but has proven to be very popular. Thank you for your patience; we recommend checking back regularly to see when it is available again.
A:AnswerThe battery in the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 is a premium internal battery with up to 40 hours of rechargeable battery life. It is designed to hold its full charge over 2 years with minimal degradation. We encourage any customers who experience issues with their hardware to contact Xbox Support here: https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/controller/wireless-controller-solution
A:AnswerThe rubberized grip on the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller is made of synthetic materials, not natural latex. This is designed to reduce the likelihood of allergic reactions for those sensitive to latex. However, it is always good to check with Microsoft directly for detailed material specifications.
A:AnswerI believe they do and your local Bestbuy should have been able to order one for you and had it delivered to you or to the store. That's what my local Bestbuy said to me. I just chose to buy the new one and pay the difference for a anothe newer model and Geek Squad protection on it.
A:AnswerI went ahead and bought the controller while items detail says Model FST-00008, and the Bestbuy online agent assured me that the model I was purchasing is FST-00008. I received the item but it is FST-00001. Disappointed.

A:AnswerOk so if you are talking first gen vs second then the internal battery is the biggest overall. Now this could be a plus or a minus honestly, I say this because so far I have only had it a couple of months and love it. I just hope that if the battery should fail it does it before my 2 year Geek Squad protection is up.
A:AnswerThe controller internals are much of the same as the standard ones. They upgraded the control board internally to support the profiles feature and the additional paddles for ABXY. If your A button is sticking on a standard controller it is probably something is making it sticky such as dirt or whatever. The Standard A button is usually not an issue on the standard or elite controller.
