In November 2019, I purchased the Surface GO model Y/8/128DBCLKTCBND. The case is platinum in color, My keyboard is light grey (some would call it silver) and the texture feels like soft flannel. (My wife says it feels like suede). I purchased a hard, rubber, protective cover. That cover is black, so now my computer is black and grey. I like the appearance very much but I didn't buy it for its looks. I had to get Geek Squad help to push all the bubbles out from under my (glass) screen protective shield. My fingers are still getting used to the compressed size of the QWERTY keys -- too small for my ten fingers and too big for just two thumbs.
