I live in an area like this and I got PBS channels but nothing else, you may be better of going as high as you can 28th an outdoor antenna.

If you are in the middle of a dense forest trees can impede the signal but just a few generally do not. You would need to google "what ota signals can I get at my location" and enter in the complete address for the campground to see if there is any signal availability. In my experience campground reception is spotty at best because they are typically located away from "civilization" and have terrain surrounding them that is not conducive to reception. Rule of thumb is if you have spotty cell reception where you are the TV reception may be worse.
