• A:Answer I installed it on a 64-bit windows machine and it worked just fine. That’s pretty much the standard now days, so it shouldn’t be an issue. You might run into other problems, but it’s not likely to be from the OS.

• A:Answer It uses a 6 pin connector, facing away from the motherboard. PCI express is referring to the expansion slots on your motherboard, they come in multiple sizes(1x, 16x, etc) and release versions (2.0, 3.0, etc). This card is a PCIE 16x, check your motherboard specs to ensure you have the proper sized expansion slot available. It also uses 2 expansion output spaces on the rear of your machine, so be sure to make sure you have the space available. Takes about 5 minutes to install if your hardware is compatible.

Q: QuestionDoes this card run OK in Linux? Particularly Linux Mint 19. I have an NVIDIA GT 710 which is driving me nuts and I want to get another GPU. I don't want to buy one that I'm going to have a hard time with.

• A:Answer I sorry i have not run this on a linux system. I have windows 10 and I continually received application can not access the hardware and would lock up. the new games using a new generation of drivers had issues with my older 460 cards. I have not had any issues since i upgraded my pc. however, the price for this card may be outdated.. but I needed to use this pc until i complete my new super build. and has worked for everything i needed. I know this does not help you for your question. hopefully you do not have to wait long for your answer.

• A:Answer This graphics card will be compatible, as for whether or not the store will install it, you'd have to ask them directly as I (the manufacturer) don't have access to that information. Honestly, it's a very easy change to install.

• A:Answer I saw a board on HP's site w/SSID 2AF3, if that's your board then it has a PCIe x16 slot,but you need to make sure you have the extra 6-pin power connector otherwise it won't work...good luck
