It uses a 6 pin connector, facing away from the motherboard. PCI express is referring to the expansion slots on your motherboard, they come in multiple sizes(1x, 16x, etc) and release versions (2.0, 3.0, etc). This card is a PCIE 16x, check your motherboard specs to ensure you have the proper sized expansion slot available. It also uses 2 expansion output spaces on the rear of your machine, so be sure to make sure you have the space available. Takes about 5 minutes to install if your hardware is compatible.
