5ghz routers, will have a 2.4ghz radio as well. This is called "Dual Band." Even the integrated modem/router combo's the ISP provide are Dual Band. 2.4ghz works at a longer range than 5ghz, this is beneficial for a robot traversing the entire house! It is better that it is 2.4ghz as opposed to 5ghz!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The D5 Connected doesn't use 5GHz at this time. Our D7 Connected model is compatible with 5GHz network. Your Neato Team
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm not sure, but it doesn't matter much because the WiFi and Bluetooth connection on mine constantly fails. Can't connect to anything anymore.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.we have had no issues utilizing our 5g
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, these do not support 5GHz band and there is a reason for that. 5GHz, although being considerably faster than 2.4GHz counterpart, has less penetration through obstacles like walls/people/furniture. So for devices like these where speed of connection is less important than reliability, 2.4 GHz is the preferred frequency.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Bought a D5 a month ago and it is currently hooked up to my 2.4 network and will not see my 5 ghtz. I don't know if this is hardware or software limited
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine runs on the 2.5 ghtz portion of my wi-fi. I don't remember seeing the 5 as an option when I set it up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe this uses 2.4 GHz networks. That's what I have mine connected to anyway. My gateway supports both 2.4 and 5 GHz and all of my smart home devices require 2.4 Ghz.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't believe it operates on the 5ghz spectrum. I think it's only the 2.4; however, I don't have a problem with it working and I have up to 14 devices connected at one time, 10 all the time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You need to use 2.4 GHz and if you have a dual band router, make sure router is not able to which back to the 5 GHz band if it is the default band.
