Doe this router take a sim card? null

Heavens no. This is not a cellular unit.

no you need to plug it into the router the internet provider gave you and then you put the code into your computer that is it, I saw no place for a sim card, once you hook it up you just put the code into your cell phone or tablet or laptop or any device that is wireless capable and that is all you need to do and it will automatically be in your wireless device when you come back to the place where you have the netgear, I hope this answers some question.
