If you are asking if you can connect to the Internet via wi-fi with a smartphone then yes. We have 2 PS4s, a smart tv and 2 smartphones running simultaneously on the router with no issues.

it does not physically connect to your cell but you hook it up to your internet providers router and then you put the code into your cell phone and it will work for all wireless devices you have or anyone that is inside your netgear signal range, providing you allow your friends and family to have your code, if your cell phone can be used for a hotspot you don't need this since you already have internet service on your cell, you need to turn on the hotspot feature on your cell, I hope this helps you,
