• We have an old box and it was very easy to set up. Should work with any router box.

• I was easily able to install the extender myself without any problems. The directions were clear and concise. There is also a youtube video to assist you. Download the Netgear app from the app store to measure the strength of the signal from your router to help you select the optimal location for the extender.
