You would need to initially put it by their router and have it connect. Second step is to place it halfway to where you ultimately want it placed and connect it again so it knows where to follow the signal. Finally, you can place it at your place where you get even a weak signal and it will boost it for you and strengthen the signal you're getting.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use this in my RV all over the country in RV parks where there is usually a horrible RV signal. I travel with it on business. It does a great job of boosting a signal in the hotels. I keep one in my RV at home. My RV is at least 200 feet from my house. In all cases, regardless of barriers or reasonable distance this unit works great! I would highly recommend it. I do not think they type of router being used matters inasmuch as I pick up many routers when this is plugged in. It is highly unlikely everyone had a similar/identical router or network.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It would need to be in his home coming off his router, then you should be able to get a few more bars . But you always have UF and RF interferences
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I could not get the signal increased to the upstairs in my home.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. You'll actually have less signal. The range extender will only increase the distance you can go from the original source.
