Ajay, I'm no expert, but I believe to use this router, you would need a modem. I'm unfamiliar with the router you now have. My understanding is that a gateway router does not require a separate modem. You'll have to check the specs on your current equipment to determine your needs.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In order to use this router, you will need to have a modem. Based on the information that you have provided, it appears that you are using DSL Service through CenturyLink (that is if you are using a CenturyLink Router). Just plug in the NetGear router into your CenturyLink Router and you should be all good to go. However, you may want to contact CenturyLink's Tech Support to have them bridge the modem. Please keep in mind that if you are interested in streaming video's, I would recommend going with a company that offers Cable service such as Comcast (High Speed).

You simply connect your existing modem to the Netgear wireless router with the provided ethernet cable. Your century link router will be disabled once you disconnect it. You may want to uninstall any software you downloaded for your century link router.
