Yes it comes with instructions and an app which you can control setting from your phone. Make sure you activate netgear first otherwise the cable provider won't be able to activate from their end. Hope this helps
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Netgear WiFi Router works very well. I am not an expert on setting up IP devices. But the Router has a series of setup steps that are easy to follow, and most of all intuitive. This Router replaced a Netgear that was purchased in 2010. So buy with confidence. The RF performance of this unit is exceptional. The antennas are actually external to the Router. The three antennas provide RX diversity and a robust signal. As far as Router Speeds, the Netgear WiFi has dual band 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz, and the 5GHz frequency supports high speed for great HF streaming. If your ISP offers 20 Mbit/s of greater download speeds, your HD will work well. And if you have many users, this Router supports a respectable number of simultaneously connected devices. I replaced Netgear with Netgear, as the previous unit worked flawlessly, but was showing its age. WiFi technology has improved greatly, and this unit offers all of the benefits of the R&D that makes it a great value. 'Heavy Gamer's may want something more robust, but for the regular user, this is an exceptionally good value.
