I am getting router for my neighbor but she does not have a computer. We will be using Opticatel broadband which does not provide a router. How can we set it up? Temporarily use my computer? Or would it be best to have Geeksquad. I need answers to both. null

You need a modem you can't run this router without a modem but u can get one with both.

You can setup the router using a smartphone or tablet if you do not have a computer. The router setup is browser based. So, connect to the router over wifi then access the router console through your smartphone browser. Use the default login address that may be 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1

Setting up a router is easy, and linksys takes step by step guide to show you how. As for the other question I don't understand. Even if she doesn't have a computer you can have internet. Just requires a modem and router.
