“Will this work with Verizon so called "High Speed " modem? It seems like nothing more than suped up dial up”

Yes, it will work with your version high-speed modem. But its not going to speed up your internet. If you have a slow/bad connection all this will give you is a really strong signal to a slow/bad internet connection.

I had it in another area of the house where I had my ip phone base and a high speed laser printer that we could use as if wireless through the network. It worked great and the speed was fine for high quality phone calls. The problem is the modem died within 15 months of purchase and installation. I would suggest you find another brand.
