Connecting to a router provides access to a local network (LAN), but it does not necessarily provide access to the Internet. Internet Service Providers, or ISPs, typically provide a modem to connect you to their network. You need to connect the router to the ISP provider modem, which connects to the internet. The devices then form a local area network which then connects to the internet through the modem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You have to unplug your modem and restart it and also your netgear for it to pick up the new IP. It won't do it until you do that. Because it did it to me.
