YES - I have Comcast/Xfinity and recently purchased this and set it up as an Access Point keeping the original Xfinity Wireless router as the main hub. I used a CAT-6 LAN cable to connect from the Xfinity router to this router and positioned it to a more central location in the house because the service entry and Xfinity router is in the basement. Now my WiFi strength to the rest of the house is greatly approved.
