“I have a package with Verizon: Internet/cable and landline. I'm contemplating cancelling all except internet. This been the case, what will Verizon leave me for me to hook up to a new router that I buy? Will I need a combo: modem and router?”

• You do not need router from Verizon if you are purchasing your own. You will need to use their modem. They will not allow you to purchase your own modem.

• You will need to ask Verizon the answer to that question. This device is a router only so you will need to have some type of router from your service provider and then connect it to this router.
