“My Dad really likes his ATT phone service that comes with his ATT internet. We bought the AX5300 but there doesn’t seem to be a way to hook up the phone. Any ideas?”

your phone is always connected to your provider internet. when you are in the house it connects to your home network automatically. You don't need to hook up the phone.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you mean a voip phone from a modem, you'd need 2 separate modems (this is a router, not a modem). A lower class voice modem just for the phone, like the Arris 822 would suffice. Then a good modem for internet only. You'd have to have your isp deactivate the internet on the phone modem and put it on the internet only modem. The internet modem connects to this, the router. A router does wifi and connects hardwired Ethernet cables, like an Internet splitter. However, there are many voip phones that plug into a router. Vonage is one off the top of my head. And if he wants to keep his number, that's called porting your number, which can done. Not sure if this is what you mean because routers don't do phones. He may have had a Gateway, which is a modem and wireless router combined.
