Q: QuestionI'm comparing with the ASUS RTAX86U specs. This router shows 2x2.4 streams and 4x5.0 streams whereas the ASUS shows only 1 stream each. This according to specs per BB page. First, is this correct for each? Second, does it matter?

• A:Answer It depends. Usually when they release a new version of Wifi, they just add more bonded channels. 20Mhz, 40Mhz, 80Mhz and so on. I think 5Ghz supports 160Mhz, so each antenna is 40Mhz. 2.4Ghz I think only supports up to 40Mhz. A 5Ghz 160Mhz wide signal will have excellent speed and throughput.... if you live in a lead bunker or in the country. A 5Ghz 20Mhz wide signal will have consistent, no frills coverage. But, the range will be smaller. For me, it's about 20-30 feet.

Q: QuestionI have a dual pole system. Meaning 4, instead of the typical two, wires are connected to the line coming to the house. Will this modem, or any other modem, work with that? Does that even matter at the point of the modem connection?

• A:Answer We typically have 12 to 20+ Devices (Laptops, Tablets, Smartphones, Smart-TVs, Printers, etc), connected to our AX5300 without any issues. Of course, they are Not all Streaming 4K/HD Videos Simultaneously. However, the Nighthawk App has never shown the AX5300 as being more than 50% Utilized, in our Environment.

• A:Answer This AX5300 Wi-Fi Router does supply its own Wi-Fi Signal. However, it does Not Supply the Internet Connection. You will need a Cable-Modem, either supplied by your Cable Provider, (Spectrum, Comcast, Verizon, etc) or Purchased by yourself. The Cable-Modem should be capable of DOCSIS V3.0 or V3.1 and you will connect the Cable-Modem to the Coax Cable coming into your house. The AX5300 Router will then connect to the Cable-Modem via a Cat-5e/6/8 Ethernet Cable on the WAN Port..
