• My AX5300 is working fine with my ARRIS SB8200 modem. It should work with other brands as well.

• sorry, dont know what 'astound' broadband is. know it works with all providers There are different routers other than Netgear as well, Linksys is great. Like it than Netgear. There is another brand that is more expensive - tried it once. had hard time getting it to work.
