Does you ATT modem also have WiFi built in? Your question leads me to think that yes it does and it is a modem/router all in one. IF your ATT equipment is a combo unit you can run a new router by disabling the router and letting your new router do the work. If you want to keep your current setup then you can at an extender to that to help improve. However, if your current setup IS a modem and router all-in-one, you might be having issues because their equipment might only support up to Wireless N on 2.4 band and that will lead to issues on WiFi. I hope that will help and make sense
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you are asking if this will increase the range of your wireless capability, then Yes. If you are asking if it will increase your speed, then No. The wireless router is only going to be as fast as your modem and service provider. It is not going to improve speed. Although if you get faster service with a modem that can handle the speed, then you will see this router will be able to handle it as well. Hope this helps. Regards
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it may help having a better router, specially if you have an older model. But you may also need to upgrade your internet speed to the next service tier (depending in your needs). Also, you may need to upgrade the modem to a DOCSIS 3.1 , if it's not already (or call ATT to upgrade you if you're renting it). For example, I had Gigabit service (highest speed available in my area from my ISP), but I didn't have a DOCSIS 3.1 modem (I don't like renting) so I had to upgrade it. Then I had to get a better router, like the Netgear Nighthawk AX80, to handle the faster speeds. Now my life has changed for the better.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It might improve your signal/speed. But it’s probably on a case by case basis. If it doesn’t help you can always bring it back for a refund within 14 days.
