This is a cable modem only, you will need a wireless/wifi router in addition to this.

This is a modem only. You then connect it to your own wireless router (think Google WIFI or any number of other good units) which allows you to upgrade your wireless capabilities as they change, while still using a very current modem as the base communicator to your internet service. I personally like separating modems from wireless routers. A bit more expensive in the initial purchase, but protects you for technology-proof down the road.
