• It will probably work. The CM1000v2 is more or less the same and this is just a refreshed version. I think all that changed was the chip was moved to a more efficient process.

• Docsis 3.1 the V2 is fully compatible with 1gbps internet from spectrum, if that is what you're asking as it seems you kinda answered your own question in your question.
