• You Have a combo modem/router. If you you wanted to use the Netgear DOCSIS 3.1 modem like mine , you would have to replace your combo and buy a modem and a router separately..

• This is a modem. Pick one up and buy yourself a stand-along wireless router to go with it. This gives you more flexibility in the long run. Otherwise, keep the all-in-one you already have.

• Not really sure. I have the Netgear AC 1200 router. It works fine with it.
