Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The X4 needs to be connected to the AT&T router whether it is running as a replacement (using the AT&T in Bridge Mode) or as another inline router. The AT&T Internet Ethernet port would have a cable running from it to the yellow Internet port on the X4.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you just need ethernet ports when just buy a unmanaged switch, no setup needed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You have two options. Either run a CAT5e or CAT6 wire, the best would be a CAT6, it has the best shielding against electrical frequenices, from your Uverse router to the Nighthawk on the other floor, and do not exceed more than 50ft of wire or you will significantly drop mbps. The second option is using a powerline adapter which has two pieces, one plugs into an electrical outlet and it has an ethernet port that you plug a CAT6 wire into coming off of your uverse router. The second piece plugs into the electrical outlet in whatever room of whatever floor you have the nighthawk, it also has an ethernet port and you run another CAT6 wire from that port to the internet port on the nighthawk. It uses your houses preexisting electrical wiring to send the internet sigal and you can avoid running extra wires.
