No. This is a router only and does not replace your Comcast modem. It would sit behind your Comcast modem where your phones would still plug in.

I would think on ComCast you would have a "modem" that would be an MTA ... that would deal with your phone line issue... this is a router... put behind your "modem" ... so I would make sure your modem has the MTA option ... then use this item as it was intended.

No, it doesn't have a phone line. Comcast's patent on the phone line in cable modem technology means that if you want to use their phone service, you have to use their gateway. Hope that helps!

Make sure it's a phone line. Should be an ethernet cable that runs from your other router to piggyback.
